In the June edition of Druthers newspaper, a 42 year old woman writes about her job as a case manager at the Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital . She recalls the heart breaking stories of children who underwent Trans gender surgery.

The importance of this article is that it comes from someone who worked with transgender children. She saw them before and after surgery. Most of them were teenage girls. She writes: The mental health of these kids was deeply concerning – there were diagnoses like schizophrenia, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and more. Often they were on a fistful of pharmaceuticals.
